Do JL subwoofers need to be broken in?

A common question is if JL Audio speakers or subwoofers require a break in period. The answer is no. The most important thing is to make sure that you are careful in matching up the amplifier’s RMS rating to the RMS rating of the particular speaker or subwoofer(s) you intend to use.

How long should you let a subwoofer break in?

We suggest 20-24 hours for a solid break in time. You can set it with a good clean signal overnight. Once this is done you are ready to install and be on your way.
