A really great lake for family, friends and picnics. They do have quite a few different public beach entrances, however, they are hard to find. The one we did find was a bit rocky so I had to carry the kiddos in past a certain point. I would recommend bringing water shoes just in case. The water was absolutely beautiful though.

This lake is not a resort area nor a tourist destination. It’s a small town with a huge lake next to it. You can stay at the lodge campgrounds or rent a house, or find plenty of state run campgrounds all around. The West short is mostly public access and campgrounds while the East short is mostly privately owned.
