Where do Air Canada Pilots train?

Air Canada pilots operate out of one of our four crew bases: Montreal, Toronto, Winnipeg or Vancouver. Base preferences are awarded by seniority, so pilots must be willing to relocate as assigned.

Where do you go to training for Air Canada Rouge?

Applicants learn the in’s and out’s of airplane safety, and how to ensure the safest flight possible for customers and fellow Air Canada Rouge Crew members. After successfully completing our safety training program, applicants must attend a one-week training program typically held in Orlando, Florida.

CAE Toronto is conveniently located near the Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ). The facility was expanded in 2015 to 17 full-flight simulator bays, and houses Air Canada’s fleet of simulators as well as six CAE-owned and operated FFSs.

The training centre is an authorized training provider for Bombardier, supporting CRJ aircraft deliveries. In addition to providing services to Air Canada, the Toronto centre serves crews from numerous airlines; effectively training more than 10,000 pilots and technicians annually.
