I read in some trade press this week that brides getting married abroad are struggling to find gowns that are suitable for travelling abroad and wearing in much nicer climates than our chilly UK. We would like to apologise profusely for the last minute cancellation of the AMEX wedding fair yesterday! Unfortunately the venue decided it could not go ahead for health and safety reasons because of the snow. Stylish Events are currently looking to secure a new date and we will let you know as soon as this is confirmed. This Sunday from 10.30am to 3.30pm we will be showcasing our latest bridal collections at the AMEX football stadium wedding fair. It’s a fabulous fair and the catwalk show is always stunning!

For this 1 day only we will be selling our bridesmaids sample sale gowns for £5 for childrens gowns, Betsey Couture, Romantica & Olivia Mae and £20 for our Jim Hjelm and Alvina Valenta gowns. We will also have a selection of fascinators, veils, shoes and boleros all for only £10 each. We can only accept cash payments on the day. This is an amazing opportunity so do come up and see us…….

We are currently recruiting for freelance experienced seamstresses to join our amazing sewing team altering wedding and bridesmaids gowns for our lovely brides. The successful candidate will have prior experience in altering gowns of this nature or similar. We have a full in house workroom so all gowns are altered on the premises. Flexible hours. Pay is as piece work. We are incredibly excited to announce the launch of Leonie Claire’s own bridal label! With her background in couture bridal design and construction Leonie is perfectly placed to offer a wonderful in house service that really is second to none. Inspired by the age of vintage glamour Leonie has created a selection of designs that shimmer in champagne, silver and ivory using the very finest silk satin crepes, chiffon and laces. Not a strapless gown in sight! A bride choosing a gown from this new collection will be treated to a fully made to measure service so there are no additional fitting and alterations charges. The exclusive launch will be held at the showroom on Thursday 24th November from 12 noon to 8pm.
