Congratulations! You are engaged! How utterly magnificent! In a dizzy haze of potential wedding ideas you know that dress shopping is seriously high on your agenda. Before you jump in and book 20 appointments to try on a million gowns it is incredibly valuable to your time and stress levels to start with a little research.

The style of your venue will have a strong influence on the type of gown you choose so it is very helpful to book the venue first. Booking the venue and setting the date is one of the biggest wedding planning decisions you will make. Once this is confirmed the dress search begins.

To get an idea of our individual designer’s style and dresses we recommend you spend a while browsing Our Collection. Our price range for a new gown is £1500 to £3500.

When you click on an image to open it, each dress page has a button where you can save to ‘Your Dressing Room’.  This will help us to get an idea of the gowns you like for your appointment.

What type of appointment do I need?

Saturday Appointments

In order to secure a highly sought after Saturday consultation we do kindly ask for payment of a £20 appointment fee payable by card over the telephone or by bank transfer. When you attend your appointment you will receive a £20 gift voucher that is fully redeemable against any item or service at Leonie Claire. The voucher is valid for 1 year so you have plenty of time to choose what you use it against. Retry appointments are not chargeable.

Should you cancel your appointment giving us a minimum of 72 hours notice we will refund your fee. Without 72 hours notice we are not able to give you a refund. This means we require notice of cancellation by 10am on the Wednesday prior to your visit.

First consultation

A first consultation is your first visit to Leonie Claire and a very exciting time. You will be greeted by one of our professional consultants and offered refreshments including a selection of teas and coffees, soft drinks or of course a chilled glass of bubbly. During your first visit we will hear about your ideas and to talk you through our designer bridal collections. This appointment lasts for 1 1/2 hours and you will have the opportunity to try on lots of gorgeous gowns.

We kindly recommend that you bring at most 2-3 guests with you. We adore children and really don’t mind them coming to your visit but we do ask that they remain seated on our sofas.

First consultations are available Tuesday to Saturday all standard opening hours.

Please kindly note that we don’t allow photographs during your appointment. If you have friends or family that can’t make it we love to use FaceTime and Skype so they don’t feel left out.

Re-try Appointment

You’ve tried on lots of gowns and know your final choice may be in our collection. We invite you to book a re-try appointment where you can try the gown on again to decide if this is the gown you will wear at your wedding.

If you decide to order your gown we talk you through the ordering process and your first payment of 50% is paid. You and your party can celebrate this most fabulous decision with a glass of bubbly too.

Re-try appointments are available all standard opening hours including late nights.
